The End Of...? Conference



It's the last two weeks of the Call for Papers for the University of Kent's 'The End of...?' conference. Organised by PhD students, Francis Kamm, Emre Caglayan and our own Peter Sillett for the Centre for the Interdisciplinary Study of Film and the Moving Image, the conference aims to explore the interdisciplinary conception and representation of “The End” in the study of motion pictures. The conference will end with a screening of Stanley Kubrick's 2001: A Space Odyssey (1968) with an introduction from Keynote Speaker Peter Kramer (UEA).

The deadline for Call of Papers (an abstract of 300 words and a short biographical note) is 15th November 2011, with the one-day conference taking place on 21st January 2012. For more information please head here. Also follow the conference blog here.
